Hi all,

I have an 07 1200 GSA and have a wee problem with the RHS pannier. A couple of weeks back I parked the bike up at a hotel where I was staying for a few days. It was the day of the terrible storms and the bike blew over from the side stand right over onto its right hand side (I was stunned the wind could do that). I only noticed becasue a couple of burly hotel staff picked it up and put it on the centre stand.

Now the issue I have is with the pannier - it's been slightly twisted which now means the lid is off by a couple of mil and won't close propoerly.

Is there any way of getting this straightened back to the original shape?

Cheers

Hi mad hiker,

Welcome to the site.:thumb2

Maybe use a rubber mallet on it, to get it's correct shape back.:nenau

Anyways, some of the guys on the site build panniers, they will know what to do.:thumb (Buy theirs.:D )

Find someone who is a tinsmith (sheetmetal worker) and they will get it as good as new again. Don't try and do it yourself if you don't know what you are doing as it is not straightforward:blast
