Good info, will (when I buy one) try it out, support bike with legs but keep side stand down just in case as mentioned by boatman!
Got me Touratech low seat to help with my footing as the GSA is too tall for me!
A GSA is too tall for me, so I bought a GS
As for mounting the pillion... Sidestand down, handlebars turned fully LEFT. Feet on floor. Pillion get on like you would a horse. The once she's settled, I simply push the bars further left, and nudge gently with my left inner thigh. The bike comes up easily, even fully loaded.
I'm a 9st8lb weakling. Mrs Miff won't divulge her weight, but at a guess it's anywhere from 12-15 stone.
