gsa ..rack to take varios...

....has anyone come across a ...what looks like to me a shortened version of the gsa rack....so that varios can be fitted........saw one today at m and s motorcycles on a gsa......but could get no joy from the staff to what rack that was fitted......looks much better than fitting the standard plastic rack.......can anyone shed some light on this......looked to me like a cut down version of the gsa rack....

I have had the same thoughts and yes it can be done ,you just remove the fitting lugs where they fit into the vario fitting lugs ,use the boltings where the oe front rack bolts to and the rear center bolt and its fitted,this will involve cutting a gsa rack but its easily done and two blanking caps at cut ends it would look like it was meant.
As it happens i have a gsa rack with all fittings and like new condition ready for this mod for sale ,just waiting for someone to adapt,looking for £63 posted paypal gift

I have done it on my 06 GSA and now my 2010 GSA, there is a fair bit of engineering involved. The top box sits a bit lower on the bike.

Photos of which rack original or converted ??? if its original just have a look at an adventure model ,itll be exactley the same ,modified still awaiting pictures like yourself
