the comfort of the oe seat is not a problem but it does seam to "push" me forward towards the tank. changing my riding position and riding the trouser legs up. one idea is to have the hight ajustment offset low t back high at the front creating a gap at the tank. not happy with this idea.

Would a Sargent seat remove this issue?

have already concidered longer trouser legs!
post is probably in the wrong place sorry in advance

I personally haven't experienced this issue with the GSA, in fact I'd say it's one of the flatest bike seats I've sat on. I found the Tiger 1050 and standard GS worse. Have you tried another GSA seat to see of you have the same issue?

Common problem. Causes pressure on one's 'barse'.
Adjust the seat so it's up at the front and down at the back.
Give that a try.

I don't think the Sargent seat would cure this. They're quite slidey and my one certainly pushes me forward.

both the demo bike and my gsa seats have the same effect, looks like ill have to offset the hight ajustment

You can get non slip pillion seat covers but I've never seen one for the riders seat. If you could source one maybe this would help?

My standard GSA seat does put me more into a forward position and it's worse dependiong on what gear I'm wearing. The Sargent seats are better in this regard, but that may be because they sit a little lower than stock and cover a wider area of arse.

Something that helps me is to take your weight on the pegs regularly.
Not stand, just take the weight. Let's the blood circulate.

I'm not talking about the usual stretch and stand after an hour, just a bit shuffle very ten minutes or so.
Trouble is remembering to do it before it starts to hurt.

Had same issue on my GS.

Corbin seat solved that for me. Does effectively make it a little harder to reach the ground without raising the seat height.

Seat felt rock hard at first but is comfortable for day long rides. I was really surprised. Never tried a Sargent so can't say it better or worse but Cornin rates up there with Ohlins and HID as best value for money mods IMHO.

I had same problem with OE seat. Changed to Sargeant and generally very much more comfortable but same bollock crushing effect of sliding into the tank - so I have the Sargeant on high front, low rear - as recommended by many here. The gap does look a bit ugly but the comfort makes it worthwhile.

I had the same issue with the stock seat. I made it high at front and low at back and it did stop me from pitching forward but didnt stop me from getting a sore arse. My Sargent seat did stop me from going forward even on level settings and it also stoped me from getting a sore arse. Well it stops the pain for 3 hours as opposed to an hour on the stock seat.
Its not a case of sliding with the stock seat its a case of not sliding or your trousers not sliding. Unfortunately this means you still go forward and get tight trousers around the bolox :eek

Plus one for raising the front of the seat to high setting, rear low as advised on other threads, found it much better although nearly fell off when I first stopped after riding with seat in low position for so long (who moved the floor) !
