hi
coz my belly is to big i've got some bad scratches / marks on my tank any ideas gentlemens to protect my tank?
thx

How many pictures do you need of a simple product?

My suggestion.

Go to Hein Gericke or Infinity and buy a roll of their cut-to-shape clear self-adhesive thin plastic sheet. Oxford do a similar product, too. It comes with simple templates to trace around. Or you can get inventive and cut your own out of newspaper or (for the self-help Blue Peter generation) the side of a cereal packet. You could copy the style and shape shown in the picture above. One roll will be quite adequate. You will need scissors.

Cut out the shape you require and stick it on. It takes just a few minutes from start to end.

Ever want to take it off again? Use a hairdryer.

No, I am not about to go and take pictures but it has worked well on assorted motorbikes.

As it is the season of goodwill, here is a video clip of something similar. It's not the same product but it shows a homemade template and how to stick something on. The HG stick-on plastic does not require all the faffing around with soapy water.

Failing all the above or if it is too difficult:

(a) Stuff less gloop down your neck.

If you cannot wait for nature to take effect or do not possess scissors,

(b) Go to any motorcycle shop and buy a generic tank protector. You can get multiple styles, from nakid laydeeeees, to banzaaaaaai flag, to NF-like Cross of St George, to fake carbon fibre, to flames, to the flags of assorted nations.......and most other styles in between, many quite tasteless.

could u put some more pics for me pls :P thx

This picture is the best I've got showing the pad on the rear of the tank.

I can't take any new piccies at the moment as the bikes in hibernation in the garage behind my other bikes, and I can't get them out due to the snow.

You will get a full description on the website I posted. The full set cost me £35 inc postage when I bought them earlier this year.

I think they look good and I recommend them.

Mike
