GSA Tank range

Hi Guys

just wondered if anyone has come across this before

I have just changed my 09 GSA for 11 plate on the 09 when i filled up the blobs would go all the way to the top as they do on the new one, but the miles to go on the 09 would go to about 400 depending on how much i could squeeze in but the 11 plate only goes to 260 but does stay there for a while, i have set my satnav up at 360 and eventually the satnav and the 11 plate bike meet but before i go back to bmw i just wondered if anyone else has experienced this

Mine's crazy as a box of frogs. Don't trust it one bit. Just use the trip meter thingy. Fill up at 320/340 miles. Get 30/32 ltrs in.
Goes something like...
Fill up
All bars.. 220 miles range
100 later
All bars.. 350 miles range
100 later
All bars.. 300 miles range
50 miles later
Half bars.. 100 range
50 later
3 bars.. 80 range
20 miles more
1 bar 50 miles
5 miles
1 bar.. 10 miles

New fuel strip required. Dealer will do it under warranty even if just out. Common fault my 10 has had one.

My 2010 30th aniv Gs has a float not the strip, have you asked at dealer which yours is? They can check if you give reg number..
