Found out by RTFM that the Alu top box mount can be adjusted to tilt back a bit further which gives a pillion slightly more room and a better angle so they can use it as backrest.

Remove back 2 bolts, loosen front ones and drop down at rear. Retighten.
:)

Probably old news but in my defence I did search first for similar post.

While reading the manual did you get to the bit about moving the rack and box forward into the pillion position for solo riding?:augie:D

Tried that myself but found the box just dug into my back and then moved it back again

Each to their own I suppose. Perhaps their is a reason for doing that but I'm too dim to see it.

Moving the top box fowards is all about leverage around the centre of gravity and therefore affects handling as heavy top box a long way from CofG tries to lift front wheel more than same weight positioned nearer to the CofG.

Note in this instance obviously referring to near as referenced to a horizontal position, distance of weight away from Cof G directly above the CofG affects things in other ways :eek
