GSA WC Adaptor Plate for Givi Monokey Cases

You don't need an adaptor plate. The standard monokey plate bolts straight on to the standard GSA rack.

Thanks for this. I presume you mean that you can use the Universal Adaptor plate to fit the Monokey Boxes? The SRA 5112 is specifically made for the 2014 GSA and I suspect that Givi won't have manufactured it in error or for no reason.

The SRA5112 looks a lot better than the universal adapter plate and is made for the job, unfortunately it is limited to 6Kg load so will only take nearly empty topboxes. Seems like all Givi's ally plates are stamped with the 6Kg load limit, pretty useless really although I realise the limit is widely ignored.

I'm not sure I agree with that - when the box is on the universal adapter plate, you can't really see the plate at all. I'd post a picture, but my bike is at the dealer having it's first service... :thumb

True, when the box is on it doesn't matter what the plate looks like as you can't see it.

Horses for courses as always - there is never an ideal solution - depends on what you want! The 5112 is more expensive but I think it would probably accept an overload easier than the universal? Whatever, you spend your money as you see fit - I can't understand anyone paying small fortunes for new pipes and slip ons for a few extra BHP - but what do I know!:rob

No problem - I don't know why we get charged so much extra for this stuff in UK - well I do actually but the internet is making it so much easier to shop elsewhere!

What is the finish of the plate? Looks powder coated in the picture.

also used the same place to purchase the plate and must say it compliments the bike. The service from the italian company was great took about a week from order to door and fully tracked, would definately recommend them.

Me too, I've been looking at these for a while now, as I wanted to fit my old Givi Maxis monokey box to the new bike. The top box has now been on 6 bikes and is as good as the day I got it at the BMF back in 2001.
All I needed to do was replace a broken catch in the handle 2 years ago which prevented the handle from closing. Another great thing with Givi is that parts like these are available! And it's not a disposable item as with many things.

I am still going through the great debate over panniers, but settled in my decision not to go with the BMW ones as the last set on the hex head melted after a few miles. The quality of the finish was garbage, and once the water gets to them that's that.

Any preferences from you chaps would be great.
