Hi Rich,
I appreciate that Autocom is your job and not your life but you seem to be the absolute all seeing eye of Autocom.
I was wondering if you could help.
I'm looking for a 'start from scratch' comms kit for my Shoei Multitech.
I pick up my new GSA soon and will be fitting my recently purchased Zumo 550 to it so I'm looking to go down the bluetooth route with the potential to add pillion comms at a later date. I've looked at the Autocom site many times but it all honesty it just makes me even more confused!
I know it's a pain in the ass but could you give me a list of what I need and an approximate cost?
Many Thanks,
Chris (confused in kent:nenau )

You could book a session with the guys at Autocom to proffessionally fit a system to your bike. I can't remember their hourly rate, but it's not high and they'll be done in a hour or two. They're only in Warwick.

I'm up there on Monday, floods permitting!!

Hi Chris,

No problems, kit wise either our Kit 200 or 300 to begin with and then we can supply a few different connections for the Zumo from there.

The main differences between the kits are the Kit 300 will offer you Auto VOX, auto volume (for speech and music levels), music fader and if you are looking at bike to bike at a later date a bike power optino via a Kenwood.

As for Bluetooth the only connection we can offer is from our comms to the Zumo as Bluetooth comms are very very restrictive and what they can do but I will not bore you too much with the ins and out on them.

Rich

Rich, Many thanks. I'll give you guys at autocom a call during the week and get something organised.
I very much appreciate your time and effort.
Again...Many Thanks.
Chris

P.S do you work in the sales department......ie should I ask to speak to you?

Hi Chris

No problems at all, yeah I do work in the sales office but you can speak with anyone if you were to phone just incase I am working on a bike or out of the office
