Great looking bike. enjoy. I had the 2009 version and sold it 5 years ago, i regretted it within weeks and ever since. Loved the low down and mid range torque, it did everything i asked of it with all day comfort day after day, for me anyway.

Forgot to mention. have a quick check on the radiator pipe routing to the expansion tank. There was a well known issue on my 2009 version where the pipe routing to the expansion tank from the radiator went into a T (one to the expansion tank and one to the floor), when the radiator got hot and the fluid expanded instead of most going back into the expansion tank it ended up on the floor. i sorted it with a blanking plug to route it back into the tank.
The design was piss poor and corrected on a later version that didn't have the T routing to the floor, hopefully yours is the sorted version. Worth checking the pipe routing or a doing little research just for peace of mind.

My 2008 Bandit 1250 does this and I was told by a Suzuki dealer that "they all do that". Now I know why. thanks for the heads-up, I'll take a look and fix it.

There's a post on a forum on the internet all about it, its probably still there with a bit of a search, there's also a pipe routing diagram somewhere that shows the bizarre design and its design faults and how they changed it on later updates.
I seem to recall the earlier engines ran quite hot and the fairings they added just added to that, when it reaches a certain temp the radiator cap opens up under pressure and makes a bid for freedom via the overflow pipe straight to the floor.
I only found by chance when i serviced it myself and changed the coolant to the correct level and then ended up with a puddle on the floor and the level being permanently below the 'min' level.
It doesn't give any comfort if you think your riding around with not enough coolant in the system but on a positive i was obviously doing it for years and nothing untoward came of it, but i still changed it for peace of mind.
from memory i seem to recall shaving the rubber bung ever so slightly on the expansion tank so any pressure built up it could escape if needed, it never did but belt and braces and all that.
