No, not mine but a friends. If you don’t do FB, message me and I’ll put you in touch.

Those of you who know Guzzis will know Moto Nero, if not personally then by reputation.

John has been a Guzzi guru for years and is renowned for great custom builds.

John has just put one of his bikes up for sale, IMHO it’s a bargain price. It’s been on the road 8 years, do it’s not a garage queen, more ‘used not abused’

Moto Guzzi Cafe Racer that I got on the road around 8 years ago. Modified frame with engine as a stressed member - the engine is 1064cc from a 1995 1100 Sport and fitted with Keihin FCR 41 flat slide carbs (genuine and not the Chinese copies)
The petrol tank is alloy (the Tank Shop) Slightly cut down half race twin headlamp fairing as fitted to the Hyde Harrier and fibreglass seat unit.
Forks are adjustable Paioli's from a mid 90's Zane Laverda and fully adjustable Ohlins twin shocks.
Front and rear brake disc / bearing carriers are one off machined from billet alloy.
One off stainless exhaust system with Keihan Conti replica silencers that are not very loud but do have quite a bark to them when you open up but NOT the sort of sound that follows you around and can get annoying.
It has a Moto Gadget m-unit for the wiring and button handlebar switches and Elektronik Sachse crank mounted ignition.
I've built a number of Guzzi Cafe racers (and ridden a number of others) and the long tank makes it look a bit of a stretch but I'm only 5'9" and it's the most comfortable I've ever ridden and a few years back I quite often had 2 - 300 ml day out rides.
The FCR carbs make quite a difference which give an instant engine response (and 25 years ago I was told by a specialist Guzzi builder of race bikes that they are the closest thing to having fuel injection)
At the same time you can pootle along in 5th gear at 30/35mph.
Conti BT46 tyres have only been fitted for a maximum of 1500 mls so plenty of life left in them.
I think that I've covered most of the main things but any questions then please ask. John
Extra information: The brakes are still linked and are excellent with even the single front disc being very effective on it's own. To tidy up the frame and brakeline routing I moved the splitter for the linked brakes to under the seat.
it has a new lithium battery which sits in a simple but secure stainless battery tray that is positioned easily accessible between the carburettors.
the front mudguard stays are also made of stainless that I had specifically made.
the Tacho is an Elliot electronic item
The engine has Carillo rods
Rearsets are Agostini items
Gearbox and Drivebox oils have recently been changed
There are discreet led indicators fitted into the fairing and in the ends of the rear frame tubes

As above, can vouch for John,s meticulous attention to detail. This bike isn’t a lashed up Tonti, it’s properly put together by a very knowledgeable chap.

Was this featured in a vidio a while ago with the Classic Bike Channel ?

No this is the one I was thinking of

Having messed around with customising bikes/specials in the past I can vouch for how much time, effort and money it takes to get something like this to both look right and actually ride right. A very nice looking thing indeed.
