Does anyone know if H rated Tourances are still available. I thought they were being dropped so only V rated were to be available.

Rang National Tyres to order a front tyre and they still list the H rated (£78). Although I would rather have them, I don't want N.Tyres to spend ages ordering something that does not exist. Also I'd rather not have V rated as it can't be repaired and won't match the rear.

Thanks all :thumb

h rated are not available unless some one has one on the shelf.metz stopped making them, national tyres might have em listed but it should take 10 mins for them to find out n/a, why cant you repair a v rated ?

Sharples repaired my 1000m old rear V rated on the 1200 at Easter...big nail right through the middle!

Tyre still going strong.

I just checked Metzler website and H rated is not listed, so it looks like it's V rated.

However I though the BS for tye repair does not recommend repairing V rated tyres. That means if you get stuck with a puncture away from home, Matey at the local bike shop can refuse to repair it and you have to buy a new tyre.

Also, from my transalp days, I remember that H rated tyres had less tread depth than slower S rated (presumably to avoid distortion at the high speeds), so they did not last as long. Therefore V rated may have less tread than H ????

Anyway all of that is academic now if they've stopped making them.

Thanks for your replies :)
