just changed the headlight bulb this evening and its a very simple job providing you have hands the size of a 7 year old child to fit the new bulb back in

its the first bulb to go on a sept 04/54 build with 6,500 miles and i was a bit suprised that they cost £19.99 each (infinity motorcycles hanger lane) and the instructions say that they shatter easily and i almost dropped mine twice just trying to put it in

its the same type of bulb that fits the main beam so i now want to buy one or two as spares and does anyone know if its possible to buy in a bulb kit with headlight, indicator and tail light bulbs without taking out a bank loan

Even the alleged high brightness type from Halfrauds are only 16 quid each.

Sorry, didn't intend to join in the general piss taking - but 20 quid for a bulb is a serious rip off :)

H7 bulbs typically cost approx £5 each, and installation in the 12GS is about as simple as it gets.
It's amazing the degree of misinformation that exists, even with a simple subject like, the cost and replacement of a headlight bulb.

H7 bulbs

I got a PAIR of H7 ultra xenon bulbs on E.bay fo under £10.00 delivered ! Believe me they do make a difference, VERY bright, only beaten by Hid's. Mike.

Even these tarts bulbs aren't as much as £20 quid each. Not cheap but they are better for getting myself seen in the traffic and just as good as Philips vision plus for seeing in the dark.

Ex insider
