ok , you won't like this but .....
you're getting old and shrinking .....or ....

you have left your balls in their bag , get the wife to put them back in the jar on her side of the bed , and normality will be resumed

I don’t think the 1150 had different seat heights. I think one had to buy different height seats. low, medium, high etc.
1150 GS has a standard seat, with 2 height position on the mechanism
1150 GSA has no seat height adjustment mechanism - but you can normal seat or low seat

I think you are shrinking has some truth.
We all shrink a little with age, and lose some flexibility!

While I’m shrinking in height I’m certainly gaining width wise to compensate. :thumb2

So when you sit on the bike, your standard seat height becomes a low seat height!
No, not got the crappy standard seat on mine. Got one of these beauties. :thumb2
Which has recently had a double dose of treatment on it. IMG_4287.jpegIMG_4282.jpegIMG_4288.jpegIMG_4284.jpegIMG_4289.jpeg

Have you checked the rear shock pre-load adjuster to see if that is in the high position?

When I bought my r1150gs a couple of years ago after being on much newer BMW's since 2011 I was shocked at what a top heavy bugger it is and how unwieldy it is to move around , spoilt by newer bikes that carry their weight much lower down and use plastics rather than pig iron and lead in their construction .

There is a tall seat option for the 1150 GSA (52537659472) and a low seat option ( 52537659474 ). Check the part number and see what you’ve got fitted

I’ve never been a fan of any BMW seat, there are far better options available from aftermarket specialists like Sargent/Corbyn/Russell Daylong etc and upholsterers like Tony Archer.
