Hammerite on hard plastic.

Has anyone used Hammerite smooth spray paint on hard plastic, (pvc)?
According to the Hammerite specification sheet it is suitable, it doesn't mention having to use a primer although I
assume the plastic would require light rubbing down to key it on.
Just wondered if anyone has tried it?

Spoke to Hammerite's technical department this morning, in spite of the instructions making no mention of a primer being needed,
they have said that a plastic primer is necessary, along with a lightly abraded surface.
Perhaps this information may help someone else.
