Hand guards - ever needed them?

We've both got the BMW OEM ones, and they're nice and sturdy. No complaints. Our bikes have both been down on grass, no real damage to anything apart from some small scratches on the plastic bits. Wind protection is good too.

Barkbusters. I usually find a combo of those, light gloves and heated grips is enough for most of the colder weather up here.

But the muffs are going on for this weekends jaunt down to the Cairngorms.....

I am picking up my new F800GS on Friday 18th March and it will have BMW hand guards with large wind spoilers - thanks to you all.

Why BMW? They are robust and do not have a trade name blazoned on them - only reasons really.

That's today! Enjoy the new bike.:thumb

While putting on my leathers to go and get the new bike I remembered that I would need the paperwork for my K1300S which is to be exchanged for the new 800 ... no registration document ... long search later ... still no registration document ... I am now picking up the new bike on the 28th March :blast

The God of irony smiles again...

Got it today at last!

We were going to tour East Anglia for a week tomorrow (my new 800GS and my girl friend's F800R) but the weather is indifferent so we're taking the bikes to Brittany instead - just booked a ferry :JB
