Hand nut "pucks" for TT Pannier mounts

I've seen a few members of this parish have been buying these from a member of Adv Rider, but not seen any mention of them on UKGSER so thought I'd mention them.

Had a set delivered this week and they work really well and are easy to fit. Simple idea but a well produced item with fast delivery.

Looks a good idea for inceasing the load bearing surface that the puck acts over. And with the $ / £ excahnge rate as it is, might have to order a set

if he'd counterbored the holes , it would spread the load even better

Not certain I understand.

I've had some of these for a couple of years (t'was on this very forum that I saw them). The do-dah just sits over the puck mounting bolts and isn't mounted to the pannier in any way.

I'm guessing that the holes for the bolts go right through to stop the mounting wheel putting pressure on anything but the inside of the pannier.

I have a set on my bike, they feel far nicer than tightening an alloy hand nut onto steel bolts, I think the ADVrider chap is called GPS John, a super fellow to deal with who posts very promptly and labels them as sample washers.
