Handguards and top box

I have seen a few photos of the GS handguards fitted to 1150R. Is this easy to do? I found my heated grips pretty useless in the cold and thought these handguards might help. Or is it that my heated grips are faulty?

Also seen a few 1150R with Givi top boxes. The one I saw at the weekend at SPC was a nice compact and basic one. Is it just a matter of buying a standard givi rack for my bike and then fitting the box on top? Or do you have to buy a specific rack for a specific box? And best place to get one? BMF show? Mail order? Or all fixed price?

One Givi plate fits all boxes so you just need to choose a box. Cheapest place I've found is 1st line Motorcycles

You might get lucky at the BMF but eBay is another option. Personally I'd buy a new plate.
