Handlebar Muffs for a '59 1200GSA!

So it's not just me. I find the Tucano Urbano muffs really cramped around the controls (indicators, start, heated grip on off, Info, etc) so took them off after three days and am now looking for an alternative. They're well made and warm though but just don't suit my spade hands. Hippo Hands look huge!

Did you have the correct muffs?? Mine are a little tight around the start button, but are fine around the rest.

The start button is still easy to use, and it's not as if you use it a lot (unlike indicators)..

Tucano Urbano 'TUC-M319' which I believe are the correct ones for a 2011 GSA. Or aren't they?

I made my Muffs out of an old SHORTY wetsuit that had cracked on the chests SharkSkin patch.

I used the legs up to the waist for each bar grip, which gives me enough material that it goes just past my mirrors and allows me to put my hands in through the bottom leg seams, nice and dry and warm.

Then I used the back of the suit to make a REAR splash guard for the back wheel, you know the £85 plastic thing they sell well it works just the same.

Excellent ideas. I wonder where the material can be bought by the yard.

BTW. I once use a cheapo neoprene back support to make some fork slider covers with crimped eyelet holes for lacing. Only snag was the neon blue colour.

Try a diving shop or eBay to get the material by the yard.
But why not spend £4 on a cheapo wetsuit and chop it up then theres almost no stitching?

Here's some of the bits I've made to get me through the winter months, not pretty but NOT 100's of pounds either, and they can all be removed in a couple of minutes:

These I made to stop the road spray and cow shit from going everywhere

I made these from some Foamex (rigid foamed PVC)...

Had to ride down to Cornwall from the Midlands a couple of weeks ago. I doubt they're as good as muffs but they certainly made a difference. Secured with HD Velcro.
