Unfortunately had a bit of an off on sunday and now require some handlebars for my 1100.
I am after some 2nd hand ones but motor Works don't have any (only new ones at 140 quid) I've tried a few random breakers in Bike Trader with no luck, anyone got any ideas or contacts that may be able to help?:(

gs bars

Charlie,

I'm fitting different bars to my 2001 1150 soon, you can have my standard ones for a wee contribution to the lifeboat tin. Send me a pm with your details. I'm off to Raasay mountain biking this weekend, can send you the bars next week, ok?

Gents, before a Mod comes along and tells you,you need to be Site Sponsors
before you can send PMs via the site.

Jonny, Thanks for the offer re the 1150 bars but according to Motor Works they don't fit, which is unfortunate because they have a 2nd hand set in stock. But once again, thanks vey much for the offer.:thumb2

are you sure they dont fit 1150-1100?

they work the other way
i fitted a set of 1100 bars Onto an 1150,with adjustment for heated grip holes.
i think the 1100 were 10mm each side shorter?s

r1150r bars

Charlie,

phew! as they say in the Dandy or Beano, I might have to keep them now anyway. I went to Motorrad Central today to order r1150r bars for my bike, someone on this forum said they cost about £90. WRONG, how about £160? I spat the dummy, no way I'm coughing up 160quid for tubular steel handlebars. Looks as though I'll be fitting Renthals now, like I did on a Triumph Tiger with heated grips. A tw*t of a job to slot the ends to take the heated grip's cables. Unless I saw up the gs bars to fit the slotted ends into the Renthals, as someone else on here has done.
