In this case it's a pity he didn't have diplomatic immunity, he could have been sent home where he would have been beheaded, not for murder though, for being a gay, apparently it is a capital offence in Saudi Arabia.

I thought he'd tried to claim diplomatic immunity and it was turned down. :nenau

What happens after the sentence is served? I assume he's on the next plane to Saudi with a one-way ticket. :augie

He did try Taff, I'd have liked to have seen the arrogant bastards face when he was told he didn't have it.
 
No sign of it in the arabnews paper, it was reported when the chap was found dead in the hotel without naming anybody but nothing since. Such is the freedom of the press here.
