Anyway it's really only one saddlebag as one is usually filled with tools and shite..

Nice that HD fit a ‘Battery Tender Cable’.

Not so nice that it’s too fucking short to cable tie anywhere and necessitates removing left pannier and side panel to access,and then you need an HD battery charger as not compatible with Optimate etc.

I don’t think two small saddlebags will be enough for a week away two up !!

Two months worth...... Including both hot weather and cold/wet weather gear for two of us...plus tools, some spares etc... could have taken less.

I saw the extra terminal and assumed it was different but optimate does plug in to the bottom two .

It’s definitely Optimate compatible - just needs the SAE connector which my Optimate 4 Came with as standard. And you should be able to run it so it kind of hangs outside the side panel so you can reach it with the bags and side panel on.

By the way....it has its own fuse in the fuse carrier. I thought it was 7.5A - but on your bike it might be the one marked “Batt 5A”

Taken the sissy bar,rear rack and screen off .I do like the way it all comes off in seconds,though the left side lever of the rear rack is rather stiff.Do they loosen with use ?

I’ll get HD Jersey to have a look on first service.

Removing the sissy bar certainly exaggerates the depth of the Tallboy seat.Must say though that it is extremely comfy and transforms the riding position.The pillion pad is also much wider and thicker than the OE seat and I’m sure we’ll use this one when two-up.
But my Le Pera Maverick DL should be here next week so will see how that compares .It should blend in a tad more.

The left sided side cover holder has a small groove which you can poke the optimate battery lead through. It’s a snug fit but never had a problem with it.

You "should" be able to loosen the bolts holding the mounting bobbins onto the fender support and turn them around a bit. If I recall correctly, on mine there are two flat surfaces which are meant to be parallel to the ground. If you rotate them away from parallel then the mounting gets stiffer. This is to allow adjustability for wear over time.

Not sure of the exact mounting hardware on your bike, but it should be the same or at least similar.

Look so much nicer without screens, thinking next trip will remove the screen and just get a bit more of a battering or just go a tad slower....
