Well new to me
They've upgraded and built a new road near me recently and this morning I drove up it for a few miles
On the verge, I spotted a load of road signs pointing the other way (from the major new road, I was on), however there was no (tarmac) road intersection there, just an old track across and between two fields
Weird I thought, so when I got home I checked the OS map and sure enough there is an old track there, so double checked the online Council Highways map and Trailwise to confirm and yep, it's a UCR highway road
Only about 1 mile from home, so going to have a ride of it this weekend
Another lane to ride.............happy days
Who says the Council Highways Dept is all bad, without the road signs nobody would have ever known
Looks little used, if at all and thankfully not overgrown

it's the much aligned Highways Agency, that government funded megolith...the same one that wants Masham to pay £32,000 for a brown sign on new A1 - the new A1 that no longer has a junction for Masham
