Happy tappets, really happy tappets

I have 42 000kms on my GS (been doing lots of riding) and my tappets are really sounding over-joyed!!!!

in fact it sounds like a bag of spanners!!! I took it to the local BMW dealer (aka Stealer) and they say its normal. Surely cant be....:blast

Anybody have the same problem?:confused:
