Can't find any info on whether this is possible, is it? The zumo tutorial only mentions bluetooth connectivity..

But I've read other posts of people connecting earphones directly..? perhaps hardwiring was the wrong wrong word, i jsut menat connectin without bluetoot with a headphone jack..

Well my cradle has a jack plug on it with a headphone symbol.

Yes, you use the socket in the Zumo cradle. I have a Scala Q2 headset with Bluetooth which is fine for SatNav directions but lousy for music which is in mono. With the jack I connect the Zumo to the headset (which I bought seperately as the one which came with it did'nt have the option) which functions normally with better sound for both SatNav and MP3.

Ah, I see what you mean. I thought you wanted to plug the headphone lead into the 550 itself. :beerjug:

I have a pair of Etymotic ER6i's harwired into the cradle and find sound quality great.

It's also stereo which I understand is not possible with bluetooth.

Only downside is you have to remember to disconnect before dismounting :blast
