what's the best way to hardwire a GARMIN V to a 03 ADV without using too many 'scotchlocks', insulation tape, twisted wiring and general bastardy ?
is there a spare power socket under the tank ?. by the way the bike is ABS with SERVOS

Lift the tank without removing and hardwire across the battery. Ten minute job. Remember the inline fuse .5amp. Good idea as when you stop the bike it remains powered up. As most people remove the GPS before leaving the bike anyway the chances of draining your battery are virtualy nil...

Except in your own garage...

I bought a cigaratte lighter adaptor and cut it in half. Then used phono hifi plugs to reconnect it. Then add a phono plug to your bike and you can use the plug in the car or on the bike:D
