Just bought myself another Harley

2011 CVO Ultra Classic - Really pleased with it apart from the silencers, its a bit loud for me, fitted with Vance and Hines High Outputs. Any recommendations on something a little more mellow?

I can identify with the problem - so many HD's I check out have had noisy pipes fitted &/or decats. They may be OK for the café cruiser, but a right PITA if you want to go touring. Surely there must be a mountain of OE exhausts sitting around somewhere.

Had Vance & Hines Monster Oval exhust silencers on my 2012 Electraglide. A nice low thrumb, not too loud, a nice balance overall.

Standard pipes are next level shit though.

I have 4” monster rounds with a stock header, it’s just the right amount of rumble. Quite fancy adding some headers though and seeing what they’d be like.

I prefer my bikes to sound mellow. This one drives me nuts after an hours riding.

It’s pretty good condition. Sadly someone’s jet washed the engine fetching some of the black paint off.

It rides very well though.

Vance and Hines usually do quiet baffles. I fitted two to my Street Bob and it's a lovely sound now. Originals were a bit too loud and raspy.

Ive just had a pair delivered. The CVO Vance and hines are different to the standard electra glide apparently .

They only sold 5 of these bikes in the uk in 2011 so there's no chance of finding genuine silencers.

Ah, cool. I hope they work out for you. They can be a bit of a tight fit, but you'll get there in the end. One side on mine went in pretty easily, the other was a bit testing, but some WD40 and twisting effort eventually got it seated.

All good. It was an easy fit. I removed the silencers, tapped the baffles out using a long breaker bar, lined the holes up on the new baffle and in they went! Sounds much better now. I removed the power commander V as well. The CVO is stage 1 as standard so it seemed pointless. I suspect a standard download was in the PCV. I have a receipt for the unit but nothing for setting up on a dyno.
