Has anyone come across Dimsport fuel injection controllers?

I came across Dimsport Rapid-Bike fuel injection modifiers on the bmwbikebits.co.uk website. Looks very like a Dynojet Power Commander, ie a box that overrides the fuel injection after remapping. Not cheap at £376 but I fiited a Power Commander to my Fireblade and was amazed at the improvement.

Anyone got any experience of this kit?

Not heard of that one :nenau

The most commonly used one on R1200's is the Wunderlich controller which is also, IIRC, a bit cheaper.

I was lucky enough to get hold of a 2nd hand one and, come March, when the warranty is up it'll be fitted to my bike :thumb2

Yes, I've got one for the GS just haven't managed to get around to fitting it yet, already have one fitted on the KR and it works well, primarily got it to sort out fuelling issues which it did.

The Dimsport contains both fuelling and ignition maps (ignition is an add on for the power commanders), you can also run multiple maps with a handle bar switch.

Might start on it tomorrow now you've reminded me.

I recently read a back-to-back ride report featuring a 1200GS with dyno charts in a sports bike mag (can't remember which one though). The torque and power curves for the GS were appalling, a huge dip in midrange probably caused by euro fuel regs.

Given the amount of 1200 engined tackle on the roads now, its about time that Power Commander sold a solution. I'd buy one and optimise my fuelling on the Dyno.

Power commander tried on the K series but couldn't get on with the o2 sensor, it's just disconnected with the Dimsport.

The Dimsport is better equipped than the Power Commander, another plus with the Dimsport is that only the loom is bike specific, if you change your bike you can keep the box and just get a new loom.

Fitting was very easy, just needed 3 hands for 1 of the connectors, must try and get it to a dyno and setup properly.
