Probably a proper :ronno question this, but hey ho, bring it on. :D

I want to fit a top box to my 1150GSA. Yeeeeesss, I know they're ugly. Noooooo, I don't care, the bike looks like a bag of spanners anyway.

I'd like it big enough to stick a couple of helmets in, or at the very least one helmet, so the BMW metal box won't do.

I've looked at the Givi and Kappa websites, but they don't seem to do a fitting plate kit for a GSA - have I read that right? All I can find are the standard GS kits, and the GSA has a different rack.

All you GSA gods - anyone got a Givi or Kappa monokey rack fitted?

Ta muchly! :thumb2

I've got a mounting plate I took of my 1150 GSA, all there, bolts n all if you're interested?

It was a GIVI I think:rolleyes:

It might look a bit high, but that's because I mounted it on top of a steel cash box so I had clearance for the Vernatech pannier lids, and a secure, lockable box under the top box :thumb2

Before I came up with that idea, it was mounted directly onto the rear rack plate :thumb2

Thanks for the replies all! :bow

PMs going back and forth with The smudger regarding a purchase.

Warmshed - that custom plate set-up looks very nice, but I lack the necessary machining or finishing kit (or skills :comfort ) to make that.

Fanum - cheers for the pics! :D I did think of some sort of Vernaworks solution, but I don't need to clear uber-boxes so a single-storey solution is fine for now.
