Has anyone tried using an over-sized micro sd card in a Garmin unit?

The max size of Micro-sd card that Garmin say works in a Rino is 2GB.......i guess this is probably down to memory adressing, but has anyone tried a larger card?

Sandisk do a 6gbcard now for 34 quid.....I've got a couple of 2gb cards on order (they came with 1gb cards) but the total of all my mapping, overlays etc is a bit over 2.5gb and I don't want to be swapping cards if I can help it

Present ZUmo firmware supports 4GB, but it is know to work with 8Gb SCSD as well, so give it a try...

Cheers for that....at the price they are, I might as well try it......if it doesn't work, I'll just bung it in the Blackberry
