Seeing as my darling Busa was having a service it only seemed fair to have a play with a demo B-King :bounce1

Interesting looks for sure :eek

I have a nice 75mile test route with all manner of terrain. The first part is a 15 mile Autobahn route.

After settling in to a fairly upright position - a LOT diff from the Busa and definitely ideal for round town etc. On the inital a/bahn stretch this proved to be it's downfall :( The engine lumbers along in a relaxed way with oodles of torque - at 80mph this is fine but anything more and you'll be doing an Eddie Lawson impression while the wind seems to want to blow you off the top. I tried to max it out over a long open stretch but the buffetting was well scarey at 220km/h and i had a 540D BMW trying to get past - just my luck not to have the Busa tonight :blast

A/bahn B-King 0 Busa 1

Comfort - its a winner

Nice deep padded and wide rider's seat make it well comfy :thumb2

Only downside would be the forward edge of the pillion perch - kept digging in to my back and forcing me to sit futher forward than I would have liked. Just a personal thing. All together though, the bar/footpeg/seat arrangement makes a comfy perch and more relaxed than what I'm used.

Score after Comfort B-King 1 Busa 1

I don't think I've ever been offered any loan bike - never mind a BKing :(

Saw one with Akrapovic cans - certainly helped out the aesthetics for sure :thumb2

I would concur with the great Nicklaus Von Marshall :

Still bloody ugly though.

before we talk about going let's talk about stopping :D

As u see from the foto we are not talking the wooden half-ass BUsa K8 brakes - THESE are the real deal and literally a gentle one-fongered dab on the lever is sufficient to bring you sliding forward on the seat big time - best brakes I've used on the road ever :bow

Only letdown are the forks which reminded me of a 650Strom i used to own - completely undersprung resulting in fork dive of irritating proportions :mcgun

but on brakes alone the B is the winner by a country mile

score after brakes

B-King 2 Busa 1

Engine - i lent the bike to a friend who owns a Tuono. He came back saying how enormous the bike felt and how peaky the engine seemed. He says his Tuono as it's a twin has much more grunt low down. I could only compare it to a Busa which feels a lot sharper and eager lower down. :nenau Mine has an R77 and that's it but the Busa definitely feels quicker and obviously isnt limited aerodynamically so you can actually use the power - a/bahns permitting of course.

After engine
