Head race bearings?

Does the R1150GS have conventional head race bearings?

How do you check the bearings for wear and tear or if they are to loose?

My handle bars swing from side to side at the slightest push, is there suppose to be so tension there?

I think..

as long as it's only side to side movement that's okay. If the bars move back & forth, i.e. towards the front and back wheels when rocked you may have a problem. There is a bearing in the top yoke or the play could be caused by the balljoint. Do not worry if it just feels easy to move from side to side, they all do that sir, it's meant to!
