Just bought a fresh new GSA after nothing up 77k mileage on the '06.

Want to de-cat with new Headers, I think I put Remus on the last one. Any suggestions, i.e. are the Conical Akrapovic ones superior, i.e. worth the extra over Remus or even Keihan? What's conical - is the pipe tapered? And does this mean extra horses? Or maybe a gimmick?

The last Remus ones had the balance pipe omitted - I assumed it was needed with the Cat. But the Akarapovic and Keihan ones at least do have one. Any idea why, or the pros/cons?

Getting decatted headers will give you a noticeable boost to your midrange and low down power because removing the cat helps the engine breath better.

I'm biased here because I sell the Keihans. The Keihan headers are the exact same dimensions as the OE headers and retain the balance pipe. Hand made in the UK from top grade stainless. Remus have a slightly bigger bore which I presume offsets the lack of balance pipe but I don't know for sure.

All the headers do basically the same job but with slightly different approaches. Also, the standard and finish are all top notch but you will be paying a bit more for the Akra or Remus name IMHO.
