Taking a week away in Cavan with dogs and mum and sister , so any ideas what to see , where to go , and good spots to eat , taking this week out because mum was told last week that she will be starting radio therapy soon , lung cancer , But we lucky it just about size of 5 pence piece . But she might be able to go to England for new type of treatment which will be available here in new year , Sterotatic it's called , Liverpool , Leeds , or North of border in Glasgow . :blagblah:blagblah So just asking if anyone has few places in mind , taking Goldwing as she might go out for a spin when we are away . 80 in September had gullet removed 2 years ago and now lung cancer , and still wants a spin on bike . :thumb2:eek:

Don't know if you have been, but the Marble Arch Caves are close, as is the National Trust Florencecourt estate and house, both worth a visit.

Nevin Maguires restaurant is in Blacklion, supposed to be really good.

That the sort of ideas I am looking for , Many Thanks and keep them coming .

Around Blacklion

Hi Geno,
Plenty of info on our Fermanagh Tourism site
http://www.fermanaghlakelands.com/
Marble Arch Caves, Belleek Pottery, Enniskillen Museums, Boat trip on Kestrel from Enniskillen, Buttermarket crafts in Enniskillen. Lough Navar viewpoint, follow 'Forest Drive' signs from Derrygonnelly or from A46 Road from Enniskillen to Belleek.Lough Navar has a fantastic view but watch the road surface on the way back down if you are on the bike. Big classic bike racing event at Enniskillen Airport on 25th August if you are still around http://www.enniskillen100.com/
Plenty of wee back roads in Leitrim and Cavan. Tullydermot falls in Leitrim, Riverfront in Carrick on Shannon where bikers line up for coffee and a blather on Sundays. Donegal town centre for more blathering and looking at bikes. :blagblah
Leitrim Tourism site http://www.leitrimtourism.com/
There is a big Fleadh (Irish Traditional Music event) in Cavan Town if you like a bit of diddly-dee and Guinness etc. http://www.fleadhcheoil.ie/: friday
If weather is half good Mum Sis and you will enjoy.:)

The area south from Blacklion to Ballinamore bounded by Lough Allen is full of little twisty roads. And the R200 across the top of Lough Allen is a cracker ;)
