I have these thick vinyl type headlight protectors fitted but they're starting to age and discolour so I'd like to replace them. Can anyone identify the make and where I might get replacements from? I've searched Google but come up blank. Thanks.

That's a Rugged Roads light protector does exactly that, available on line or call into there showrooms in Lymington

Halfords or other such stores should sell generic stick on headlight protector that you just cut to what ever size you need.

Thanks I quite like the stick on type as it's pretty unobtrusive. I don't know how effective it is compared to the polycarb' ones though.

Yes but depends on the size, shape, speed and trajectory of the pebble.
Which is pretty much the same for any headlight protector.

Obviously, but just figured a gap between the protector and lens would slow down what ever was moving, pretty much like the bloody pheasant I hit a few months ago

The fact that the stick on stuff is soft will help dissipate the pebble energy.
I have fitted several different types of headlight stone guards on my 1150GS and always have the stick on stuff on the lamp as last means of protection.
At present I have a guard that has 1" square mesh for the headlight but fine mesh over the oil cooler which to be honest I am more interested in protecting
As for pheasant protection you are playing a different league but I have had a seagull glance off my helmet and that was a bit scarey.
I always fitted stick on stuff to my cars and have had to replace several windscreens due to stones being thrown up from opposing traffic but never a headlight. Probably nothing to do with the headlight protector.
I suppose at its worst it will keep the lens in some sort of shape if it does get cracked.
