at the moment my old feller on his 1200gsa is plane spottin when he switches his headlight on......how do u lower it down? over to the bodes in the know..................janie xxx
If it's only up a small amount, there is a little flip down piece in the adjuster at the back of the headlight. There is also a screw to give more adjsutement in the flipper..
If it is as you describe and looking completely skyward he may have popped the little cup and ball joint inside the light.
Do a quick search as there are a number of suggested fixes for this pain in d'ae$e problem.
Look at the back of the headlamp, between the circular covers (sticking out) is a flick up piece, try flicking this back down or if that fails turn the adjuster the flick up piece sits over.
The flick up piece is described in the manual but headlamp adjustment is not ,
It won't wallow 'cos you're not adjusting the damping (thats the screw head on the side of the shock), it will however load up the rear of the bike more and make it really slow on turn in to corners, and may even introduce tank slappers. Also the rear shock may bottom out a lot and fail
