I haven't actually got my GS yet, but I'm trying to line up all the bits I need to put a Zumo on it from day one (I made another thread about that already). One thing that seems to be a sticking point is the headset.
In a perfect world, I'd want to be able to listen to the MP3 player of the Zumo in stereo. I want to be wireless though. I know you can get wireless stereo for phones, but I'm guessing the Zumo doesn't support that. Threads here suggest it at least.
Can it be done though? Maybe with some combination of StarCom Digital, AutoCom or something like that? If so, would that in turn deprive me of some other feature or integration?
Also, I prefer to wear earplugs to cut out helmet/wind noise when I ride my current bike. I know from my test ride that the GS is a lot quieter but still not quiet enough. I read that some people wear ear plugs and use the headset helmet speakers with success - but would that work acceptably for music, radio plays and audiobooks too?
Alternatively, do any of the Bluetooth headsets let you plug in your own headphones? I've seen lots of mentions of the UltimateEars monitors, but they all look to be saying they use a wired connection. I'm tempted by a pair of Shure E530 in-ear headphones, which look to do the same sort of thing, though less personalised.
