Heated grip connector is different

Left hand heated grip stopped working, seems to be normal. Want to replace the whole unit but my 2000 X reg has both left and right hand cable coming into the one connector under the tank. So no way of only taking of the one unless I cut wires. Which I don't mind doing. Just wanted make sure there isn't another connector that I missed.

Also if anyone has a secondhand/new left heated grip thye want to sell, please let me know.

motorworks sell them as individual items for £45 per side. they might have a second hand one for less than that - always worth asking em.

take out the pin

You can pull the pins out of the existing connector (just done this on mine) a very small screw driver pushed down one side of the pin (from the cable end) will allow extraction of the pin and screwdriver together. thus allowing the cable to go through the bars. Then (if the pins are the same) drop it into the new connector shell, should lock in place.

Motoworks still tops

Jus got off Motobins and Motoworks. There is no new Heated grips for 1150 in the UK. Seems everyone have run out of stock. BUT Motoworks has secondhand grips. £20.00 postage included. Another good day for biking.
