At this years NEC show the Gericke stand had examples of their 2008 range of gear some still with the pre production marks on.

Was interesting to see the latest version of that Tossers favourite the Tuareg, gone are the taupe and black colours, now greys with a hint of olive green under the camera flash.

As with previous versions the waterproof element is part of the liners but it's now full Goretex instead of Sheltex.

Not able to get any ideas on price but it should be released early in 2008.

At last, HG have seen the light and gone back to Gortex :thumb2

If it's as good as the 'original' Tuareg then it'll be more than a match for the 'Twat' suit, espeically given the price differential (and yes, I own both so can compare).

I like the look of that - will be interested to see one in the flesh.

The suits that interested me most were those on the REV-IT stand. I can't see myself spending Rukka money (even if grey importing from Europe) and my mate is having issues with HG at the mo. The Rev-It Off-track has some nice features (3 seperate layers and a lot of vents, not to mention coming in GS matching colours...:augie), there is also the cayenne that looks quite TWATtish in it's design with the square poppered vents. Both are about less for the suit than a Twat suit jacket on it's own.:thumb2

Still pretty shite looking... why print a chav Twatrag on the back:nenau

it's time they stopped Stevie Wonder designing for them

Yup - get rid of the bloody stupid lettering on the back (P45 winning offence for someone surely?) and it's probably as good as the original GTEX one I have, which is excellent.

Certainly better than the 2007 version.
I've done 40,000 miles in my 4 year old grey Tuareg suite it's still in good condition my older black, green, orange ones A1 condition too :thumb2
Definately buy HG again in the future :clap

I had a tuareg back in 2001.

It lost its waterproofing after 2 washes, after 3 washes it developed sponge like water holding qualities :eek

Isn't it?
I agree that having TUAREG in large print on the back is a bit naff but it costs a hell of a lot less than a rallye2 but does the same job :thumb

I've got both - and can see nothing to justify the belief that the Twat stuff is better quality than the Toerag stuff. In fact, the latter hasn't lost any of it's attachments, which is more than can be said for the former....

I've got the beige and black jobbie - only done a few thousand miles in it but it works well. Don't mind the trousers but the jackets a bit spoony looking. It felt 'right' so I had it anyway.

Had the 2001 BMW twat suit. Lots of zips, lots of flapping about in the breeze, didn't have much faith in the protection.

Me for one - I can't run to the kind of money they want for that fashionable stuff.

Jacket - IXON Ranger. Plain black, totally and utterly waterproof all over. Quilted lining for the winter and a fleecy neck warmer which is removable. £130 ish.

Trousers - Richa. Again, plain black with leather knees and seat. Again totally waterproof and with winter liner that is removable. £50 ish.

Boots - Draper work boats with steel toe caps £25 and still going strong 3 years later. Not got wet feet yet other than when I got washed over by the truck in the flood!:thumb

Cheapskate? :surrender
