Hella 55's bulb fitment ?

Does anyone know what type of bulb ( h1 / h7 ) is fitted in the Hella 55's ?
And has anyone tried xenon bulbs as an alternative? Reason i ask is that i have just fitted some hids and they make the bulbs in these units look yellow by comparison

H7, as my headlight s on the 1150 are H1, bloddy micros are H3. Too many bulbs.

Don't bother getting those bulbs advertised with the blue glass as HID look alike one's they don't work, still look yellow next to the HID, even the PIAA 110w ones are yellow.
It's HID or HID I'm afraid.

You are a bit far from me, but have been doing one or two ride in ride out HID fittings on 1150 and 1200's.

I can supply a set of 50 watt HIDs for the 1150 if interested. Other forum members have contacts that can get you 35 watt kits.

Not familiar with the "Hella 55s" ... You dont mean FF50s by any chance?

Most aftermarket spot lights and fog lights take H3 bulbs. But FF50s take H7s. Let me know if you need a set
