Morning all.

Just a quickie... Does anyone have any bright ideas when it comes to mounting Hella Micro DE lights onto R100GS PDs?

I'm fresh out of ideas! :(

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob

I've sold a few now for that bike and no problems, if you mail me at the gmail address below I can send some pictures :thumb2

Cheers dude, mail sent.

If you don't mind spending £1.20 http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=204508&highlight=Lights

Actually you replied on the thread. It should be really easy with the Micro DE mounts

Cheers Rob, yeah I did - tried those, but they were worse than useless with Micro DEs :( Will try again if all else fails. :)

Why was that? Need to know so I don't jump in on other posts suggesting them if they are crap. They work fine with my spots though.

I would suspect it's someting to do with the weight of the DE's. Your lights look like they have plasic shells, so are very light. DE's have cast bodies and will be quite heavy in comparison. and therefore will wobble around alot.

It would be possable though to use a second mounting clamp and attach a metal stay to the back of the DE to stop the vibration though.

Basically, the DEs are quite heavy - so they move around a lot with just a single bracket.
I've got a set of 4 now, so I'm going to mount each light using 2 brackets and a piece of stainless steel between them to hold the light.
I'll report back with my results. :)

The brackets are ideal - just not quite man enough for heavy lights. Do keep recommending them! I would! :thumb
