Not sure which forum to put this in so went for this one.

I’ve got the SRC system fitted to my Schuberth C3 and I’m trying to check, and if necessary, upgrade (by download) the software. I think mine is on V1, but I believe there is now a V3 available.

I have on my PC a software program “SRCS.exe” which I must have put on when I bought the thing, but when I plug my helmet into the PC it refuses to acknowledge it and tells me that I do not have administrators rights.
If I go to the Schuberth web-site I don’t seem to be able to find the English version, and although I can order a beer & a sandwich down the local Kneipe, my German isn’t good enough to get me through the whole web-site.

Any ideas on how I may crack my problem?

English page

Right mouse click on SRCS.exe icon on desktop and click "run as administrator", then try again...

Thanks MikeO; - I couldn’t find that :blast However, when I go into the SRC menu and click-on either ‘Hit the ground running’ or ‘FAQ’s’ – nothing seems to happen.

Thanks Stonehenge; finally got in there. There were 2 down loads.

PC software (v3.0.8) – this would not load. It said it had “encountered an illegal instruction”

New SRCSI Software (v3.0) – this loaded successfully and seems OK.

I use the SRC entirely for my zumo 550 and find it very good. I can even hear it with ear plugs in!

It will Bluetooth to my phone (via the zumo) very easily, but the radio reception is so poor I don’t use it.

Although I like the helmet and its features, I had to return it to Schuberth Germany (via the dealer I bought it from and the UK agent, Tranam) for water running down the inside of the visor. It was returned 5-6 weeks later (with the bugs still on it) with a letter stating that they could find nothing wrong, although they did replace the visor seal.

I’m glad my GS, VW van, and Audi A3 don’t all have to go back to Germany for any warranty repairs. :clap

Combined, the helmet and SRC system consume a fair chunk of cash, but allowing for what I perceive as a pretty poor level of service I don’t think they represent value for money.

If you are saying there is a volume problem with the headset in the Schuberth Helmet, Schuberth told me that the SRC System volume increase button only works when the voice or music, etc. is actually speaking/playing. I could never hear the Zumo 660 commands when driving. I have some more tests to do to check if the Automatic Volume (Gain) Control is working to increase volumes at higher road speeds. Then I will fit Logitech Ear Buds in place of the supplies speaker drivers.

No. The volume is fine on everything; sat-nav, phone, Ipod, and radio, It's just the radio reception that's crap. Sit on your bike and tune it in and it's fine; turn your head or move off and it's like listening to Radio Luxembourg in the early '60's on a crystal set :pullface

OK, I haven't read a good word about the radio system integrated into the SRC System it has to be said.
