Help 1150 adv with carbs

I know I'm not the only one to do this. If you've fitted carbs to an 1150 gs could you let me know what needle settings and jet sizes you used.
I've got an 1150 adv (04) fitted with 40mm Bings, single spark(now).Its up and running,but could be better.:blast Cheers.:

sorry i have no answers for you mr motorhome but i do find this very interesting and have always been a fan of carbs over fuel injection if you get the chance i would appreciate it if you would tell us more like how does this affect the electronics etc
 
Worth giving Andrew Sexton a call. He’s based in Hook Norton so not too far from Brum. I know he’s built quite a few carb based R11XX specials in the past so he should know what he’s doing. PM me if you need his number:)
 
Thanks for the replies. I've got Andy Sexton doing some research for me, hopefully we'll get it sorted.
As for the elecronics, theres not alot left. It's had the servo and ABS removed.
Switching to carbs means no fuel pump or in tank filter. theres a little problem getting the oil temp guage to work, which is probably an earth.
The bike does run smoother with carbs, a bit less engine braking, still got good power.
As for why, I had an annoying problem with the fuel injection in Morocco, so having already thought about doing the conversion, it didnt take much to get me to go for it.

Contact Steve Scrimminger at Scimminger enginering he is the guru at converting from fuel injection to carbs.(he as converted is own bike to 40mm bings)
