A long way from where I started!
Hi, I have bought a 2610 for the bike, and want to remove the existing mapping ( navigator V5 ) to replace it with city select V7.

I have an ique and this works in a completely different way.
Was wondering if anyone might know a quick fix for me...

Ta muchly

Take out the CF card from the 2610 and insert into CF card reader attached to your PC.

Open MapSource and select the mapping tiles that you wish to load and press the 'Send to Device' tab. MapSource should then find the CF card and overwrite the maps that are on the card with those that you have selected.

If you do not have a CF card reader, leave the card in the 2610 and simply connect the 2610 to a USB port on your PC. However, the 2610 must be powered and turned on.

You need to generate a second unlock code for City Select for your SP2610 first

Go to Garmins unlock website (http://www.garmin.com/unlock/)
You will need your City Select customer code and SP2610 serial number.

Put this unlock code into MapSource on the PC then perform the download procedure above.

Yeh, had already done that.
thanks anyway...

I just got stuck trying to find a way to delete the old info when all I had to do was just overwrite it.

how easys that..

A few people have asked about the difference between City Navigator and City Select and nobody really has a good answer (including Garmin).

Can you do a comparison between the two products on your SP2610 ?

Obviously coverage should be better in the later product so more about differences in routing etc

Well, I'd have loved too, except for the fact that I dumped the city nav as soon as I got the unit. As I have an ique, I use for everyday stuff I've not needed to use the 2610.
Plus, the city navigator was V5 and was about as up to date as my sense of fashion.

Sorry
