:( Did my first bit of muddy stuff yesterday on the 12... Cleaning it today it seems to have burnt sand or mud burnt onto all the bits that get hot.... exhausts, engine, barrels etc etc. I can't seem to wipe it off or scrub, the only way is by scraping each tiny bit with my nail!

Is there an easy way to get it off? Surely someone else has experienced this!??? :(

Try using 'Muc-Off' spray but be sure to follow the instructions as it may harm your bikes finish if left on for too long. It can work wonders on heavy soiling.

Next time you may want to hose it down as soon as you have finished riding so it doesn't have too long to bake on to the hot surfaces.

Muc off works well you could not see what colour this was 10 mins ago

I gave the bike a wash down with water when I got back... but that was after a couple of hours of it getting covered in crap... I've used autoglym bike cleaner which is the same stuff as muc-off.... but it needs to be almost scraped off!

Try - Mer polish, it worked for cow-muck burnt onto the pipes and engine when nothing else would budge it. maybe another brand of polish would work too, as polish would be the last thing you might think of doing the job. the Mer just about disolves the muck with a little rubbing.
