Help - Canbus head socket

Can someone please tell me exactly where this is please.

I have found a socket on the wiring loom (right side)next to the headstock goiung to the beak. It looks like a black two pin socket with a spring clip ovwer the entire one side.

I am trying to connect the BMW Sat nav and have the power lead from BMW but it seems a very loose fit.

Is this the correct one or is there another.

Surprisingly these was no cover on the plug to keep the moisture out.

What year?

On my 05 it was strapped in to the loom just in front and slightly to the left of the tank
On my 08 (with ESA) it's under the oli cooler but if you look at Thunders sticky thread on the top of this page his was where you said on the right.
The socket you've found isn't it.

That's for the pre 08 location and this one has the location on the 08 model http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135425
Except for mine which is under the oil cooler. I'm guessing it's because of the ESA.
The socket you are looking for is the one with a cap on. NOT the open one with a clip on it.
