I have moved this thread to the Ireland section Andy in the hope that some of the Dublin lads will spot it and recommend somewhere for you.

With oversupply of bed-nights and a recession, there should be plenty available at reasonable rates. Try http://www.ashlinghotel.ie/ along the Liffey near to Phoenix Park, Heuston Station and St James Gate (Guinness......
) and a tram ride (Luas) to city centre (5 minutes). Secure overnight free (or nominal) parking for residents - but verify for bikes if you book.....V
May I personally recomend the hotel opposite the 
in rathmines. dave the owner took a bit of care over an r850r. SaFE. Just my 2c but good dublin spot.Totally secure carpark. Give them a ring about the blue bike with the ciggarette burns on the saddle and say I sent you
Nothing in this for me but I recomend that hotel but you have to figure out what hotel I'm talking about because, frankly, I'm too lazy to google.
