Help Garmin 2720 not working right?

Hi guys,

I got for Christmas a Garmin 2720, it works fine apart from everyso often mid-route it resets it self (turns off then on). Using the supplied transformer inside it does not do this.

On the bike (wired to battery) and in the car (using the cig lighter) it does this.

I have tried : Updating the software
Different cig lighter adaptor

Is there anything I can try before I send it back to garmin, as I want to enjoy my new toy over the Christmas break.

Just send it back. Had the same on a 2720 for about 10 days and in the end after 2 software upgrades sent it back for a replacement. So far the 'new' one is behaving straight from the box. According to GPS warehouse out of 6 sold so far back then mine was the only one to suffer. They were very good at dealing with my irrate phone calls and agreed to swap units, picking up the postage costs as well.

have you done the software updates? 2720 ver 4.40 and voice update emily ver 1.20 .Its to do with it uses a lot processer/memory use when running text to speach .doing both updates is ment to sort it out.fault normally occurs approaching roundabouts and very small minor roads.
