Can anybody advise me? the rear drum on the Kawasaki is out of true and needs skimming so the bike passes the old MOT test.

I have bought a replacement from ebay but that is also knacked:( so if anybody knows of a person who can skim a rear wheel brake drum (on the cheap if poss) in Cheshire / Staffordshire area please let me know.

Or if anybody has a very good rear wheel with a circular drum brake from a gpz500s h reg (1987 to 1993 model range) please PM me

Many thanks

Can't PM as you're either not a site sponsor or you've chosen not to accept PM's.

Got a mate in Oxford willing to have a go, he's machined larger wheels in the past. He wants to know how much out of true the hub is. Remember that the tyre needs removing to allow fitment on his lathe. Call me this evening on 07817-570803 as I don't want to post his landline number up here.

Have you asked Vern if it's something he'd consider, also closer to you (Worcestershire I think)?

Thanks for the offer I will give you a call later on if that ok.
I'm getting to the bl**dy end with the dam gpz... I perfer my GS any day!!
cheers
Nigel
