Help-Mapsource won't open on vista

Installed the set-up cd followed by the three version 7 dvds ok. When I go to start mapsource it says "there is a problem with masource registry. Please re-install and try again"
Could this be due to the registry keys telling it to look in "my computer" (XP) as opposed to "computer" (VISTA)?
If so how do you alter the key's? I did it once using reg edit with someones help but can't for the life of me remember how to do it

Install the latest version available from the Garmin support web page

http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209

this will fix the problem, as there is a compatibilty issue between the earlier versions of Map Source and Vista.
